New Zealand Arnica

Arnica comes from the perennial Arnica montana, a yellow-orangish flower that grows in the mountains. It's sometimes called the “mountain daisy,” because its color and petals look like the familiar flower. Arnica is applied to the skin for pain and swelling associated with bruises, aches, sprains insect bites, arthritis, muscle and cartilage pain, chapped lips, and acne.

New Zealand Astaxanthin

New Zealand sourced Astaxanthin is created in a sterile, controlled environment in New Zealand that is created for algae, free from outside microbes and heavy metals. Haematoccoccus Pluvialis algae are cultured with purified filtered mountain spring water to avoid contamination. After a few months of nutrition, the algae reaches maturity. The algae is then exposed to UV light and seeks to protect itself by producing Astaxanthin. The natural Astaxanthin is then extracted using a supercritical CO2 process. The concentrated Astaxanthin is set into gel capsules ready to be taken as a supplement.

New Zealand Kawakawa

Kawakawa is a unique native of New Zealand and has long been used by indigenous Māori to support blood circulation for cuts, wounds and skin disorders. Kawakawa's antimicrobial and analgesic properties help reduce inflammation of various skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and rashes. It is also antidyspectic (counters dyspepsia or indigestion), antispasmotic (eases muscle spasms or cramps) and diaphoretic (promotes sweating to expel toxins and pathogens via the skin).

New Zealand Mānuka Honey

Mānuka honey is a monofloral honey produced from the nectar of the mānuka tree, Leptospermum Scoparium. The word mānuka is the Māori name of the tree. Mānuka honey is produced by Apis mellifera bees foraging on the mānuka (Leptospermum scoparium). It grows uncultivated throughout New Zealand. Mānuka honey is markedly viscous. This property is due to the presence of colloid. Nectar from Mānuka produces a honey boasting unique medicinal and antibacterial qualities.

New Zealand Peppermint

Peppermint is an aromatic herb in the mint family. It's a hybrid mint that's a cross between spearmint and watermint. Peppermint oil naturally cleanses the skin and has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It has a cooling effect which soothes irritation and inflammation due to acne.

Palmitoylethanoamide (PEA) works in the body on the endocannabinoid system and is used to reduce pain and inflammation. It is also an immunomodulatory, analgesic and is neuro protective. Ideally PEA should be consumed with food (preferably an evening meal containing 10g of fat/oil). This will enhance the rate of absorption.  Scientific studies have been undertaken to show the effectiveness of PEA for pain relief. Our micronised PEA is derived from sustainable palm oil and is 100% vegan.
