Plantonin Bee Propolis Throat Spray Plus (Apis Mellifera) is a Biochemist formulated throat spray to support your body’s immune system from a sore and scratchy throat. Plantonin's Bee Propolis Throat Spray Plus contains two pertinent Bee ingredients, namely:
- New Zealand Manuka Honey. The Manuka plant is very rare and only native to New Zealand. This rare and special New Zealand honey is made from the nectar of the native Manuka plant which our clever bees collect and transform into Manuka honey. It contains unique antibacterial and bacterial resistant properties. We use only medical grade Manuka Honey MGO 260.
- New Zealand Propolis has a special compound called pinocembrin, a flavonoid that acts as an antifungal. These anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties make propolis helpful to relieve a sore throat. Propolis is water infused rather than the industry standard of alcohol infused. The fine water-soluble spray exhibits anti-oxidant ability that has an immunostimulatory effect. Packed to pharmaceutical grade standards in an aluminium aerosol presentation ensures the product is non-clogging and allows a measured finer particle metred spray of 120mg with the ability to direct spray in the area of the back of the throat more readily than a pump spray.
Plantonin Bee Propolis Throat Spray Plus is ideal for those on the go as it is an excellent travel companion to help you avoid getting the flu and allow you to keep performing to your optimum.

It smells and tastes well and the kids love it. It is a great help to relieve the sore and itchy throat. It is a must have for the flu season.

Less medicinal tasty than alternatives on the OTC market and is pretty effective.

Works great. I’ve been happy with how well this has been working for me. I would recommend this to others!

The more natural it is, the most I like the product. This is great relief for respiratory effects during the flu season for my kids. This is tiny bottle but powerful and easy to apply by mouth spraying it inside.

Suitable for adults and children over the age of 3. This natural remedy is great for sore throats and coughs, a fast and better alternative to cough syrup.
Bee propolis has been recommended to me recently by a few of my friends ad I get a lot of colds. I'll be using it a lot this winter! No side effects noted and it works well. Flavour is good and you need 2 sprays every 3 hours.

An effective throat spray at soothing a sore throat, while not an immediate fix I can be sure that it certainly momentarily eases the pain and perhaps even quicken the healing time but I have no way of knowing if that's the case for sure.
The spray mechanism is reliable and gets a nice steady spritz of the solution to the back of my throat and effectively coats it.
On the more expensive side when it comes to throat sprays but it's to be expected with a Manuka honey product and you do also get a lot of applications within the one bottle.

I have been using oral spray for long and normally use it when I feel sore throat. Just a few spray and slowly swallow it through and I can feel immediately relief of sore throat. It is made from bee propolis which is quite natural so I can use it with confidence. I normally spray it once if the symptom is mild and I’ll increase to 2-3 times if it is more serious.

A small spray bottle for around $20 but will last as I only plan to use it when I have sore throats, and compared to sore throat medicines it's pretty decent value.
The bottle sprays a nice amount directly to the back of your throat. It's instantly soothing and lasts a while. I'm not sure it actually reduces the length of time the sore through lasts but it certainly soothes it.
The taste is quite nice, sweet which I presume is from the honey.
It's supposed to have other benefits too which is a bonus if any of them work.

I suffer from chronic pharyngitis and often have a very sore throat, so I was happy to give this a try. Bee Propolis is antimicrobial, antioxidative and anti-ulcer so it is perfect for me. It contains Manuka honey, New Zealand manuka honey is absolutely the best. I like that it is water infused and not alcohol like most, alcohol-based sprays can cause more harm to sensitive throats. The spray is easy to use, it has a good powerful fine spray that coats my throat well, it gives almost instant relief from pain. This is by far the most relief I have gotten from throat pain, very impressive spray.

Propolis is also known as bee glue because that is what it is: a glue that bees make to protect their hive from infection. The resinous glue is made of saliva, beeswax, and botanical resins. They may gather the resins from tree buds or flowing sap. Propolis is used to reinforce the hive and to help stop the spread of diseases within the hive. Because of its potent antimicrobial properties, this substance can be used for a wide range of applications in dentistry.
Studies are emerging that show potential for the cavity-fighting power of propolis. Cavities occur when oral bacteria, fueled by sugars and other simple carbohydrates in the mouth, produce acids that attack tooth enamel, the white outer layer of the tooth. Propolis helps prevent this in many ways. First, it kills oral bacteria and prevents them from thriving. Second, it makes it harder for oral bacteria to form plaque, which sticks to the teeth and increases the potency of acid attack on enamel. Finally, propolis impairs the function of the enzymes that bacteria use to break down sugars.
Oral bacteria can also develop colonies on the gums and in the space between the teeth and gums. This can trigger inflammation of the gums, damaging them, and may be responsible for many of the systemic effects of gum disease, such as heart problems, autoimmune disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, and cancer.
Propolis can potentially prevent and control gum tissue infection with its antimicrobial and colony-preventing properties. Additionally, propolis’ anti-inflammatory effects can help control the body’s immune response to gum infection, limiting the damage that comes from gum disease.
Tooth enamel is a hard and powerful layer that prevents teeth from experiencing sensitivity. The tooth is composed of tiny tubules covered with enamel. With age, tooth grinding, and periodontal conditions, enamel may be lost, or gum tissue may recede from a tooth, leading to sensitivity as the exposed tubes allow cold temperatures and irritants to pass through to the dentin. Propolis is being researched for its ability to seal up these tubes to reduce sensitivity and potentially stimulate the growth of dentin.
I have experienced the extraordinary healing power of propolis directly, albeit tincture, not extract. In 2012, my face was burnt pretty badly, and I used propolis to heal my wounds. I have absolutely no marks or scars left, which is beyond any expectation!
I ordered this spray to use as a mouthwash and to strengthen my gums. This propolis spray contains glycerine, water, New Zealand bee propolis extract, Manuka honey, menthol lactate, natural honey, and sucralose. It tastes delightful and sweet. After brushing and water-flossing, I apply two sprays around my mouth and spread the liquid all over my gums. I had a few implants three years ago, and this spray is brilliant for caring for my gums and implants. I use it two times daily, in the morning and evening. It helps tremendously with bad breath and immediately calms my sensitive teeth and gums. Needless to say, I will continue using this spray and order some more. I am a propolis believer, especially after the unexpected results on burnt skin; now, I want to care for my gums and spoil them!

Light honey taste with a touch of mint flavor that is very soothing on the throat. Gentle numbing from the menthol. Nice bit of relief for coughing.

This is a great pocket-sized throat spray. It has a slight honey taste that is very pleasant and does not taste like medicine at all. It soothes my sore throat and gives a little numbing sensation which works great. The spray bottle sprays evenly and coats your throat well.

Honest reviews matter, good or bad, so here's my thoughts...
Pros: I threw it in my purse in case I ever needed it & pulled it out the following day at work when I had a tickle in my throat I couldn't get rid of. A couple of sprays later the tickle was gone; tastes so much better than chemical laden throat sprays; sprays evenly; convenient size
Cons: absolutely none!

This Plantonin Throat Spray arrived today and I've already treated my throat to the 2 sprays. I first sprayed a bit into my hand to see the product. Clear color, not much of a scent, sweet taste of honey, left a slight coating. I then sprayed twice into the back of my throat, and could taste the Honey flavor, not much menthol - actually pretty neutral. My main reason for trying this is for a tickly and scratchy throat, not really sore, just an annoying cough. Though, winter is coming (cold season) and I'll be prepared for any sinus problem or sore throat with this convenient and handy small slim metal case with an efficient pump, and plastic lid. It will dispense this natural and healthful mixture that contains different types of Honey, the most famous is the excellent Manuka (great for healing) from and made in New Zealand, and a Honey derivative (Propolis Extract), along with Glycerine, Water, Menthol Lactate, and Sucralose.
